Materials and care
We use a range of high quality materials in all of our jewellery, and by taking the best of care you can ensure your pieces last a lifetime. Here are some of our top tips for looking after your M. Elizabeth Jewellery.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is known for its durability and resistance to corrosion. Our gold stainless steel pieces are 14kt PVD plated. PVD-plated means they have gone through a process called Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) to apply a durable gold coating to the surface.
To care for stainless steel and PVD-plated items, it is advisable to clean with a mild soap and water solution, avoiding abrasive cleaners that may scratch the surface. Additionally, storing these items separately from other jewellery can prevent scratches, ensuring they maintain their lustrous appearance over time.
Sterling Silver & Gold Filled
Clean silver and gold filled jewellery using a silver cloth, or remove grease by gently washing in mild detergent with warm water. Wearing silver jewellery often keeps it clean as contact with skin reduces the oxidation of silver! Store in a soft pouch or M. Elizabeth box. Avoid harsh chemicals.

We have so much faith in our jewellery that every piece we sell is covered by our lifetime guarantee against discolouration or tarnishing. So should your jewellery suffer any discolouration or tarnishing we are committed to ensuring that your piece is replaced at no additional cost to yourself.
Kindly note that our lifetime guarantee does not cover lost or stolen items, or items that have suffered damage or breakage from everyday wear + tear (e.g.scratches / snapping due to force / bent ring) and any modification to your product done by a third party outside of M. Elizabeth. Any manufacturing defects, (e.g. snapped chain or stone falling out of the jewellery) are covered by a separate one year warranty and not by the lifetime discolouration or tarnishing guarantee.
All of our items are heat resistant, 100% sweat resistant & waterproof, lotion & perfume safe and 10x stronger than plated jewellery.
My item has discoloured or tarnished, what should I do?
Please contact us at info@melizabeth.co.uk with your order number and images of the item showing the fault and our customer service team will assist you with getting this resolved.
